Tell us about BIC’s Shared Services Center in Sofia – when did it open, what are its goals, how many people work there?
In 2020, to help drive innovation and long term sustainable global growth, BIC opened a new state-of-the-art shared service center in Sofia. Here, our team members contribute to our company’s growth by improving, automating and innovating processes within - finance, accounting, procurement, order and claims management, HR and more.
In the last 2 years we have built a strong team of more than 250 professionals. And at BIC, we strive to provide our employees with the tools and resources they need to grow and take ownership in their careers.
How does the Center fit in BIC’s strategy and how will it develop?
The Sofia center i is making a huge impact on our European structure and processes. Two years ago we created a best-in-class Shared Services Center to support our evolving organization. We have made great progress in building a solid foundation for the Sofia center and in transferring our activities. We are now entering into the next phase of BIC Services Sofia to maximize our capabilities where we aim to make services at BIC more efficient and effective by focusing on standardizing and digitizing our processes.
In the next few years, our main focus will be on automation, process improvement and standardization of internal procedures within the fields of Finance, Customer Service, Transactional Procurement, IT, HR and other corporate functions to better support our overall business performance and drive new efficiencies

I started at BIC as a recruiter, then moved to the Talent Acquisition Lead role, and during this time I worked with amazing people, motivated and empowered me to bring my ideas to life.
